What are Regular Classes?

Regular classes are the classes that students attend weekly on the scheduled slot that they signed up for. These classes happen all year-round and are based on individual approach to each level.

For Kids 2.5-6 y.o: This program is designed to explore and enjoy the beauty of painting and drawing while increasing young artist’s skill level in mixing colours, creating complex forms out of basic shapes. Our goal is to maintain and develop child’s interest in art. The art education is especially helpful while kids attend their day school, where the skills of drawing and painting are used during the art assignments and presentation.

For kids 7-11 y.o.: Young Artists will develop their artistic skills while having fun discovering their own personal style. Working from still life, photographs, images from art history and/or independent themes and ideas. Students will be introduced to specific drawing and painting fundamentals and techniques. These include line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading, highlighting, colour perspective and collage. While experimenting with exciting variety of artist’s tools, media and techniques, students will learn to explore and trust their creative instincts.

Portfolio 13-16 y.o.: Junior portfolio preparation introduces students to viewing their artwork as a collection, which represents their skills, ideas, and abilities.  We will be experimenting with various art mediums, learn about classical approaches and contemporary art practices while building a portfolio of work. We will work together to understand and ensure a well-rounded portfolio which exhibits both technique and imagination.

Teenagers and Adults: Teenagers and adults come to Prestige Pro-Art Studio for many different reasons and everyone finds tremendous enjoyment in learning and practicing their newly found knowledge of the arts. For some adults, taking these classes may be a childhood dream coming to life. For others, it’s a chance to return to practicing an art form, which they have enjoyed in their youth. Prestige Pro-Art Studio has classes from beginners to more advanced levels to ensure that adult students enjoy this great opportunity to explore the arts in a comfortable environment.

We offer two different groups for teenager adult classes. Family classes are 1.5 hours long and run at the same time as children classes do. However, adults are working on their own projects separately from their children.

Exclusive adult classes: This course is intended for adults that are looking to relax while having an opportunity to improve their artistic technique in a fun and social setting. Classes are 2 hours long and are held in smaller groups 19+ of age.

Portfolio (College & University): This course is intended for students who wish to pursue a career in arts and design at a post secondary institution. Together, we will look at your existing portfolio and direct it towards your future in the selected field of arts. Conversation around student’s practice will reference major art movements as they relate to the student’s work. Students are encouraged to come to class with a creative and open mind in order to expand their imagination and therefore their artistic ability.

Is there a registration fee for returning students?

Yes, there is. For returning students, who dropped their attendance for 1 month or longer, the re-registration fee will be applied upon their return.
If a student does not attend our classes for the summer semester or parts of the summer semester and would like to return to our school, the registration fee will not apply. This is the only exception to the registration fee rule.
