Our program is specifically designed to have an individual approach to every student based on his/her age, interests, skills and personal speed of learning. As a group of professional artists we put our own talents, expertise and guidance to each and every student in the class to lead them from the very fundamentals to final masterpieces of their own creation.

Students are continuously inspired at Prestige Pro-Art Studio as classes take place within an environment with music and creative atmosphere while the variety of styles and techniques never end.  Here, our students individually master the arts of drawing, sketching, watercolour, acrylic oil, mixed media painting, 3D projects, sculpting, batik painting on silk, and origami. In addition, Prestige Pro-Art Studio offers specialized courses in junior and senior portfolio preparation for students applying to universities, colleges and specialized high schools.

Students are taught all of the principles behind various theories of art including composition, light, balance, form, proportions, effective use of light and shadow, colour combinations and contrasts, colour theory and perception and much more!

ADULT CLASSES (with children- family sessions)

Adults come to Prestige Pro-Art Studio for many different reasons and everyone finds tremendous joy in learning and practicing their newly found knowledge of the art. For some, taking these classes may be a childhood dream coming to life. For others, it’s a chance to return to practicing an art form, which they have enjoyed in their youth. Prestige Pro-Art Studio has classes for beginners as well as for more advanced levels to ensure that adult students enjoy this great opportunity to explore the arts in a comfortable environment.

We offer two different groups of adult classes. Family classes are 1.5 hours long and run at the same time as children’s classes do. However, adults are working on their own projects separate from their children.

ADULT CLASSES

This course is intended for adults that are looking to relax while having an opportunity to improve their artistic technique in a fun and social setting. Classes are 2 hours long and are held in smaller groups 19+ of age.

PORTFOLIO (COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY – senior level)

This course is intended for students who wish to pursue a career in arts and design at a post secondary institution. Together, we will look at your existing portfolio and direct it towards your future in the selected field of arts. Conversation around student’s practice will reference major art movements as they relate to the student’s work. Students are encouraged to come to class with a creative and open mind in order to expand their imagination, and therefore their artistic ability.

PORTFOLIO (13-16 years old – junior level)

Junior portfolio preparation introduces students to viewing their artwork as a collection, which represents their skills, ideas, and abilities.  We will be experimenting with various art mediums, learn about classical approaches and contemporary art practices while building a portfolio. We will work together to understand and ensure a well-rounded portfolio which exhibits both technique and imagination.

CHILDREN CLASSES (AGES 7-12)

Young Artists will develop their artistic skills while having fun discovering their own personal style. Working from still life, photographs, images from art history and/or independent themes and ideas. Students will be introduced to specific drawing and painting fundamentals and techniques. These include line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading, highlighting, colour perspective and collage. While experimenting with exciting variety of artist’s tools, media and techniques, students will learn to explore and trust their creative instincts.

CHILDREN ART CLASSES (AGES 2.5 – 6)

This program is designed to explore and enjoy the beauty of painting and drawing while increasing young artist’s skill level in mixing colours, creating complex forms out of basic shapes. Our goal is to maintain and develop child’s interest in art. The art education is especially helpful while kids attend their day school, where the skills of drawing and painting are used during the art assignments and presentation.

SUMMER ART CLASSES/CAMPS

Summer art classes provide an opportunity for those who wish to practice and increase their painting/drawing skills while school year is over.
